It started for one child

I built these games for my own son. I wanted him to actually learn mathematics — not to “cover the curriculum”, but to understand it and keep it. When the course came together, I thought: why should one child get this? So I opened it to everyone. Free, with no ads and nothing to buy inside — and it will stay that way.

Children want to play, not to be taught

There is no point arguing with that — it is the thing to build on. The whole idea of Dad4Kids is to join two things usually kept apart: the child plays a real game and learns in the very same moment.

I choose every task myself

I select and check every task personally. The backbone is the strong mathematical tradition and what generations have proven works — not drilling for a test.

A lesson stays a lesson

There is no politics here, no ideology and no grown-up arguments — there is mathematics. We hold to classical, family values: work, honesty, patience and respect for one's elders. A child comes here for knowledge, and knowledge is what they get.

Why this exists

A good education has become expensive and rare. My aim is simple: to make it free and within reach of any child with a browser. No bills, no subscriptions, no strings.

Dad4Kids is an independent studio making free, ad-free educational games for children aged about 3–7 — in math, reading, Spanish and logic. Every game plays right in the browser, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Who makes Dad4Kids

Dad4Kids is created by Evgeny Arsentiev, PhD — a researcher and a dad. The games are designed and built in-house, not licensed templates, and grounded in current learning science.

Our method: learning that feels like play

We start from one simple truth every parent knows: children want to play, not study. So we don't fight it — we turn the learning itself into the game. A correct answer is how you fire the arrow, defend the castle or win the mission, so practice becomes the fun part instead of the chore.

It's an innovative take on an old idea, and it works because it matches how children actually learn: short, motivating rounds; instant feedback; quick recognition and recall; and difficulty that adapts so a child is always challenged but never stuck.

Built on research

Our approach draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, intrinsic motivation and memory — meta-analyses showing well-designed educational games improve achievement, plus studies on retrieval practice, the spacing effect and systematic phonics. The key references are listed below and on each subject's pages.

Made for families in the United States

Dad4Kids is built for children in the United States. Everything is in American English, and the games are organized by U.S. grade levels — from Pre-K and kindergarten through the elementary grades — so what your child plays lines up with what they are learning in an American classroom. Everything runs free in the browser, anywhere in the U.S., with no account needed to play.

Safe by design

No ads, no third-party tracking and no personal data collected. No account is needed to play. Questions? Get in touch.

The science behind the games

Every Dad4Kids game is built on one simple truth: children want to play, not study — so we turn learning into a game worth replaying. The method draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, motivation, and how memory works.
