Circuit Bastion is one of those electric circuit games for kids where the electricity is honestly simulated, not decorative. Current needs a complete path. Three turrets wired in series visibly share the voltage and fire weakly; rewire them in parallel and every turret comes back to full power while the generator strains. A thin cable overheats, glows and fails. The right fuse sacrifices itself and saves the base. A charged capacitor unleashes a devastating pulse.

Machine bugs of the Null swarm attack the grid itself: gnawers chew unprotected cables, insulator slugs smother terminals, the Series Serpent coils into your circuit and adds resistance. Ten campaigns, ten bosses with electrical mechanics — the finale rewires the rules of the battlefield while you fight.

How to play

Four phases. Build: place structures and drag cables between visible terminals. Prepare: close switches, pick fuse ratings, set electromagnet polarity, charge capacitors — live volt and amp meters respond instantly. Defend: aim the core cannon, trigger pulses, replace blown fuses and repair cables while turrets fight according to your network. Recover: salvage, study a short visual summary, improve the circuit.

What your child learns

Complete circuits and open circuits, conductors and insulators, series and parallel wiring, voltage division and current sharing, Ohm-law reasoning, wire thickness and heating, fuses and breakers, short circuits, batteries and generators with real limits, capacitors, transformers, electromagnets and polarity — every concept demonstrated by the battle itself. A parent dashboard tracks each skill family.

The science behind the games

Every Dad4Kids game is built on one simple truth: children want to play, not study — so we turn learning into a game worth replaying. The method draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, motivation, and how memory works.

FAQ

Is the electricity realistic?

The engine solves the actual circuit — nodal analysis with sources, resistances, fuses, capacitors and transformers. 43 engine tests and 8300+ validation checks keep it honest. Difficulty changes enemy pressure, never the physics.

Will an 8-year-old cope with wiring?

Early levels are one generator, one cable, one lamp — and the game shows current flowing as moving light. The drone Amp points at faults, and hints explain in pictures why a turret went dim.
