This tangram game reimagines the classic in real 3D: instead of seven flat pieces, kids build volumetric figures — spheres, cones, blocks and cylinders turn into a rocket, a castle, a snowman, a duckling. Over 500 tangram puzzles, from three-block starters to tricky multi-part builds.
A spinning reference model shows the goal; the child sets each piece on the mat and turns it in space until it clicks into place. Set the last piece — and the figure comes alive! This free online tangram game trains spatial reasoning and 3D mental rotation the way a flat puzzle never could.
How to play
Pick a piece from the tray, turn it with the rotate buttons and set it down next to what you have built — a green ring shows where it can go. Check the spinning model in the corner, match it block for block, and the figure wakes up!
What your child learns
Builds spatial reasoning, 3D mental rotation, shape recognition and part-whole thinking — classic tangram skills, upgraded to three dimensions.
The science behind the games
Every Dad4Kids game is built on one simple truth: children want to play, not study — so we turn learning into a game worth replaying. The method draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, motivation, and how memory works.

FAQ
What is a tangram?
A classic puzzle where simple geometric shapes combine into recognizable figures. This version takes the idea into 3D: volumetric blocks build rockets, houses and animals.
How is it different from a flat tangram?
Pieces are volumetric and must be oriented in space, not just slid on a table — flat tangrams cannot train that.
What age is it for?
5+. The first tangram puzzles use a few blocks; harder ones scramble orientations and add more parts.
Is it free?
Yes — free, no ads, right in the browser. Best on a tablet.
