Cookies on this site

Last updated: 13 August 2026.

A cookie is a small note a site asks your browser to keep and show again on your next visit. Cookies usually get talked about in connection with advertising, but ours do something else entirely: they let you sign in without retyping your password on every page.

The short version

We have no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. No social-network pixels, no third-party counters. What follows is the complete list of what we use.

Cookies we set

sessionid — remembers that you're signed in. Without it, every click would send you back to the password form. It disappears when you sign out or when the session expires.

csrftoken — protects the sign-in and sign-up forms. It confirms the form was submitted by you, from our site, and not by some other page acting in your name. Secure sign-in isn't possible without it.

django_language — appears if you've switched the site language. It remembers your choice so you don't have to make it again.

d4k_noanalytics — appears only if you opted your device out of the game-start count using this link. It lasts a year and means exactly one thing: "don't count this device".

That's the lot. We set no other cookies.

Not a cookie, but nearby

While you play without an account, progress is saved in the browser's local storage on the device itself. That isn't a cookie, and none of it is sent to us. You can clear it in the same place your browser clears site data.

The game-start count

We count how many times each game is started, so we know which games are actually wanted. No cookie is used for this and no IP address is stored — only an unreadable fingerprint that changes every day.

No third-party cookies

Our pages carry no ad networks, no analytics services, and no social-network buttons, so nobody outside Dad4Kids sets cookies in your browser through us.

If we later add Google sign-in, Google will set its own cookies during sign-in — as it does on any service with that button. For now the site has no such sign-in.

How to opt out

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, either for every site or just for ours. The site keeps working: games open and play exactly as before. Only one thing breaks — signing in, because without cookies the browser has nowhere to remember that you did.
