Word Tanks turns Russian reading practice into a 3D third-person tank campaign where the only way to shoot is to read. The tank drives winding routes by itself; the child hears a word (without seeing it) and assembles it from syllable tiles. Build it correctly and the cannon fires; make a mistake or hesitate and the enemy fires back. Reading by syllables becomes an exciting march — never passive screen-mashing.
There are 1000 battles across 100 operations and 8 worlds — with rain, storms, fog, rivers and mountains. Enemies vary: tanks, trucks, jeeps, MG nests, infantry and helicopters, with a named boss at the end of every battle. Victories unlock a garage of 10 tanks, from Scout to Titan. Harder “super words” earn super weapons: an artillery barrage, an air strike or an ally tank. The curriculum is real: from two-syllable words (ма-ма) through long words to reading whole 2–4-word sentences.
How to play
Listen to the word (tap 🔊 to repeat), then tap the syllables in order to build it. Complete the word — the tank fires and rolls on to the next target. A wrong syllable or hesitation lets the enemy shoot. Crush the whole enemy column, beat the boss — and unlock new tanks in the garage!
What your child learns
Builds syllable-reading skill, speed and accuracy of syllable recognition, blending, whole-word and sentence reading — through the thrill of a tank campaign. One battle means up to 70 words read aloud and assembled.
The science behind the games
Every Dad4Kids game is built on one simple truth: children want to play, not study — so we turn learning into a game worth replaying. The method draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, motivation, and how memory works.
